Drop-in session – creating a green oasis for people and wildlife
Wednesday 17th April • Join us between 5pm-8pm
We are holding a drop-in session so you can help us plan our wildlife area which will also provide a green oasis where people can sit and enjoy nature. We want your ideas to shape the kind of space you would like to enjoy – imagine sitting under an arbour covered with scented flowers in the summer or having a reading nook – please bring your imagination and creativity!
We are re-designing the space above the pond, planting a greater diversity of plants to provide food and habitat for wildlife. At the session you will be able to learn about the best plants for pollinators and choose your favourite to be planted in the area. At the same time you’ll learn about simple ways to create food and habitat for wildlife in your own garden or balcony.
We are counting on you, our farm users, to work with us to implement improvements to the wildlife pond area to make the area more attractive for local people to enjoy but also for our wild creature visitors.
This drop-in session is free to attend. There will be refreshments and all ages are welcome.

We celebrated our 50th Birthday in 2022
We have a rich history, kickstarted by Ed Berman who mobilised a community to improve its neighbourhood and create imaginative spaces for children to play and explore. Inter-Action steered by Ed, found farm buildings and stables and had a radical idea, to create a “City Farm”. This was the start of not only our own incredible history but of the whole City Farm movement. Today, Kentish Town City Farm is a hub, a place where everyone can get their hands dirty, care for real life animals, share their skills or learn new ones. Others come for the tranquillity, a haven for wildlife and sanctuary from the busy city.
Throughout the last fifty years we have relied on your support to make the farm the special place it is today. We hope you can continue to support us and make our 50th Birthday celebration another successful milestone in the farm’s history.
