Young People’s sustainability workshops for ages 8-21yrs
The magic of seeds and how they grow
Sunday 18th May 2pm-4.30pm
Come along to this workshop to learn all about planting seeds to grow your own food. Did you know that seeds are alive and have a breathing hole. Learn about what happens when you ‘plant’ them and they germinate. You’ll be able to plant some seeds to take away to grow some food at home (on your windowsill). We’ll be planting a recycled tub of microgreens for you to take home and grow.
The workshop is free to attend but you need to register your place. So if you’d like to come along please complete the registration form here:

Night-time wildlife:
a late-evening walk around the farm
to see who comes out at night
Tuesday 27th May 7pm-9.30pm
Once it is dark there are lots of animals that emerge to eat on the farm. This session will teach about nocturnal animals including owls, moths, bats and hedgehogs. You’ll learn about how important they are for the wildlife on the farm. We’ll go for a late evening walk to see who we can see, using our bat detector to detect the pipistrelle bats that feed on the farm through the summer.
The workshop is free to attend but you need to register your place. So if you’d like to come along please complete the registration form here:

We need your help to build a new goat house
Goatel Kentish Town!
Help us build a brand new home for our amazing goat herd!
Our current goat house is an original part of the farm and over 50 years old, so in need of constant patching and repairing. It won’t survive another storm like Bert, and our goats keep leaving us terrible TripAdvisor reviews!
Every penny raised will go towards building the most wonderful, cosy, dreamy goat home, with an improved outdoor space and enrichment to keep out goaty friends happy and healthy. Check out our fundraiser here to help us out, and get some fabulous supporter rewards for yourself as well!
Have your children’s party at Kentish Town City Farm!

We offer an additional animal handling session for party-goers, at £60 for 30 minutes. Our animals include guinea pigs, chickens, rabbits, goats, and donkeys!

We celebrated our 50th Birthday in 2022
We have a rich history, kickstarted by Ed Berman who mobilised a community to improve its neighbourhood and create imaginative spaces for children to play and explore. Inter-Action steered by Ed, found farm buildings and stables and had a radical idea, to create a “City Farm”. This was the start of not only our own incredible history but of the whole City Farm movement. Today, Kentish Town City Farm is a hub, a place where everyone can get their hands dirty, care for real life animals, share their skills or learn new ones. Others come for the tranquillity, a haven for wildlife and sanctuary from the busy city.
Throughout the last fifty years we have relied on your support to make the farm the special place it is today. We hope you can continue to support us and make our 50th Birthday celebration another successful milestone in the farm’s history.
