A statement about Coronavirus COVID-19
13 March 2020
As a family attraction with animals, we already actively encourage regular hand washing which is the key deterrent for contracting the coronavirus.
We are open as normal and encourage all visitors to follow the personal hygiene government advice to protect yourself and others:
- Always carry tissues with you
- Use tissues to catch your cough or sneeze
- Bin the tissue, and to kill the germs.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water as often as you can, but certainly as you enter the farm and before leaving.
If you have a new continuous cough or high temperature it is now advised to self isolate for seven days, as the UK government moves to the. “Delay” phase of its plan to tackle Coronovirus.
IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE FARM.
We are keeping up to date with advice from (i) NHS England and (ii) Department of Health and Social Care which you can find on their websites:
Both websites are very clear and informative.
Within our farm, we have issued employee guidelines and increased the frequency of washing objects that get frequent hand contact, however, we shall continue to monitor the advice from Public Health England and our local health authority.
Please take advice from NHS and the Government – wash your hands regularly with soap and water, cough into elbows or into a tissue.
Kentish Town City Farm
We are currently remaining open, seven days a week, 9am to 5pm, entry is free.
