Tuesday 23rd January • 7pm-8.30pm
Kentish Town City Farm
Microgreens involve growing small shoots from seed before cutting them to eat. They take a week or two to grow and are full of vitamins and minerals: pea shoots contain more vitamin C than oranges and blueberries. They are also packed with flavour so can be used in salads, stir-fries, soups, sandwiches and as toppings on most meals. They are ideal to grow in winter on your windowsill since they grow quicky in the indoor warmth – you can harvest within a couple of weeks. This workshop will explain the benefits of growing different microgreens and show you different ways to grow them at home. You will be able to plant a microgreen garden using recycled containers to grow at home.
