Saturday 11th November 10am-4pm
We are organising this permablitz in partnership with Permablitz London. Join us for the day to learn about ways to protect the soil in the garden over winter. The garden has been very productive this year and we have grown vegetables that need soil with plenty of nutrients. After clearing away the dead plants we will be adding a mulch of cardboard and manure from the farm animals and planting green manures to protect the soil-food-web creatures over winter and prepare the garden for growing next year.
We will also plant seeds for microgreens to give fresh greens through the winter and you’ll be able to take a pot away with you to grow at home.
Mini workshops will include:
Winter green manures you can plant now
The benefits of growing fresh greens on your windowsill through the winter
RSVP Essential: if you want to come along you need to let Permablitz London know so we know numbers for lunch, which is provided, and so we can give you all the specific details. Contact Permablitz London here letting them know you want to join the Kentish Town City Farm Permablitz.
