We host around 100 students every year on our popular work experience programme, providing opportunities to learn about farm life and animal husbandry.
Typical tasks include taking the animals to & from their pastures, mucking out, feeding, unloading deliveries, animal grooming and day-to-day yard responsibilities. We have goats, sheep, chickens, geese, horses, donkeys, pigs, a cow and small animals, so there is plenty of scope to learn about the needs of a variety of animals and their care.
Three types of work related placements
- 1 to 2-week work placements for children from schools in and around the London area, prioritising Camden schools.
- Longer placements individually tailored for students studying agricultural or animal related courses.
- Placements for organisations working with special needs.
